From your President
The spiritual journey for men's ministry begins with recognizing
that if our local fellowships are to grow, we must seek ways of living in the community,
not within the walls of the local church.
Ephesians 4:26-27 tells us we must confront problems each and every
day, and speak truthfully to our neighbor, for we are all of one body. We must be
godly leaders who do everything in our power to avoid giving
the devil a foothold in our lives.
The United Methodist Men are a supportive fellowship of men who
seek to know Jesus Christ, grow spiritually and seek God's
will. Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality
of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships.
Explore our web for ways to connect with men in
ministry who share their faith journey through witness
and prayer; serve God in mission and service as they
discover their purpose in life through justice and mercy ministries in
the community and the world; develop as a Christian
through study, workshops and retreats, and celebrate
with men and women in worship with events at the local church, district,
conference, regional and national venues.
The year 2008 marks the 100th Anniversary for the United Methodist Men
with the theme, "Let no man be left behind." On our web you will
find many resources to help your local men's ministry be part of this
celebration.
So join us in the Adventure; there is much to be done.
Blessings,
